DRAFT FOR LEGAL REVIEW. This document was prepared to reflect how the service actually works. It has not been reviewed by a qualified lawyer and is not legal advice. Bracketed items marked TO CONFIRM need a decision or a fact from you before publication.

Who we are

FOCUS produces and operates these study materials at focusimat.com. [TO CONFIRM: registered legal entity name, company registration number, registered address, and VAT number if registered. EU consumer law requires these to be shown.]

Checkout and payment are handled by our payment provider, who acts as merchant of record for the transaction. The terms shown to you at checkout govern the payment itself. Your statutory consumer rights apply in full and nothing here limits them.

What you are buying

Access to digital study materials delivered through this website. Nothing is shipped and nothing is downloaded. The materials open in your browser when you sign in to your account.

We currently offer the Strategy Guide, the Question Bank, and a package containing both. The product pages describe what each contains.

Lifetime access, and what that means

Purchases are one-time payments. There is no subscription and no renewal charge.

Access continues for as long as we operate the service. We are not promising the service will exist indefinitely. If we ever decide to close it, we will give you at least [TO CONFIRM: 30 / 60 / 90] days notice by email and make the materials you bought available to download in a permanent format before access ends.

Your account

You need an account to access what you have bought. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity that happens under your account.

Accounts are for one person. You may not share your login, and we may suspend accounts showing signs of shared use, such as sustained simultaneous access from many different locations. Where we suspend an account we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond before taking further action.

Licence

Your purchase grants a personal, non-transferable licence to use the materials for your own study.

You may not resell, redistribute, publish, upload, scrape or share the materials in whole or in part, or create derivative works from them, or use them to train any machine learning model.

Your right to cancel

Under EU consumer law you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content and receive a refund.

Because access is immediate, at checkout you are asked to expressly consent to the materials being made available straight away, and to acknowledge that by doing so you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal. If you do not give that consent, access begins after the 14-day period instead.

[TO CONFIRM: this consent mechanism must actually appear at checkout. Verify the payment provider presents it and records it, otherwise this clause does not hold.]

Refunds beyond the statutory right

[TO CONFIRM: whether to offer a discretionary refund policy, for example 14 days no questions asked regardless of consent. This is a commercial decision, not a legal requirement, but it is common in this market and reduces disputes.]

If something has gone wrong with your order or the service is not working, contact us and we will put it right.

Accuracy, and what this service is not

The materials are prepared carefully but may contain errors. Examination formats, syllabi, quotas and deadlines change between years.

Nothing on this site is official information. FOCUS is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the Ministero dell'Universita e della Ricerca, Universitaly, Cineca, or any university. Always confirm current requirements against the official bando before relying on them.

We do not guarantee any examination result or admission outcome. Scores, projections and study plans shown in your account are estimates based on your practice answers and are not predictions.

Automated study plans

Parts of the service use automated processing, including a third-party AI provider, to generate study suggestions from your practice results. These suggestions are guidance only. They are not tuition, not academic advice, and should not be your only source of preparation. See the privacy policy for how your data is used in this.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, third-party outages and faults can interrupt access.

Liability

[TO CONFIRM: liability limitation wording. This clause must be drafted by a lawyer. Consumer law limits how far liability can be excluded, and unenforceable exclusions can invalidate surrounding terms. Do not publish placeholder wording here.]

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will notify you by email. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance. Changes do not apply retrospectively to purchases already made.

Governing law

[TO CONFIRM: governing law and jurisdiction, which depends on where the entity is established. Note that EU consumers keep the protection of their own country's mandatory rules regardless of what is chosen here.]

Contact

[TO CONFIRM: support email address and postal address for legal notices.]
